Legal Expense Insurance for Specific Claims is a specialty insurance program that allows First Nations to cover the cost of researching, submitting, and negotiating their Specific Claims against Canada without using community funds or having to give up a large percentage of their compensation or settlement.
The insurance policy secures a line of credit from a major Canadian lender. The funds are repaid from the settlement if successful, or covered by insurance if not. There is zero risk to the Nation, win or lose.

In 2023, Canada settled the Band Reparations Class Action lawsuit for harms caused by Indian Residential Schools, creating a $2.8 billion fund to support Four Pillars principles within each of the 325 opt-in communities. Our team helps First Nations access their share of the fund for community-led initiatives—all fully owned and operated by the community. There is no direct charge to the community for this service, all costs are covered within the funding program.

Our company helps connect First Nation communities and organizations with joint venture opportunities in support of economic growth and generational development for the community. These partnerships are structured to align with Canada’s Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Businesses (PSIB), requiring federal departments and agencies to award at least 5% of their contracts to Indigenous owned businesses.
